8U Rules
2025 St. Cloud Fastpitch 8U League Rules
- Age Requirement 8 years old or younger as of Sept 1. 2024
- Games on Thursday 6pm.
- Team in field will provide ump each inning.
- 2 -45 minute games
- All players must start a game.
- Pitching Distance 35’
- Bases 60’
- 11” softball
9 . Pitching Machine Game 1
- Player/coach pitch Game 2
Game 1 AND 2 Pitching Machine
- Team at bat will run machine.
- Pitching Machine speed 30-34 mph
- Max of 8 pitches per batter.
Rulles
- No Stealing.
- HBP. Dead ball. Counts as a ball.
- 10 players in field (4 outfielders)
- No extra base on overthrow
- Each player will play at least 1 inning infield, and 1 inning outfield.
- No pitcher may pitch more than 2 innings per game.
- No running on dropped 3rd strike
- There will be no walks, but batter can strike out.
- 4 runs per inning
- No Infield fly rule.
EQUIPMENT
- We will use an eleven (11) inch softball, preferably a Dudley SBC11 with an ASA stamp.
- Pitching will be handled by a blue Louisville Slugger Pitching Machine and set at 30-34 mph.
DIMENSIONS
- The pitching plate will be placed at 35 feet.
- Base distances will be 60 feet.
